This verse I devote to the caffeine gods

This here is indeed a true sonnet. A traditionally fixed verse form of Italian origin, consisting of 14 lines that are typically five-foot rhyming iambics. And I like it. Ima be honest though, I had to look up the word abrogation on dictionary.com. (It means to repeal.) My favorite stanza is the tribute to coffee. Although not clear on it’s purported benefit to plants. Does he mean like, the coffee grounds as fertilizer? Or should I actually dump some on my houseplants?

I must say that dudes are getting VERY creative out here. And the sheer volume of prose filling my various app inboxes is getting crazy high. I’m not even swiping any more. I’m just watching the bizarre/hilarious/intimate thoughts roll in. I’m wondering if this is an indication of just how much time we all have on our hands OR a growing willingness to play along even if there’s no immediate benefit or payoff. Or both. Either way, I’m enjoying it thoroughly.

And finally, as proof that I do more than just critique others, I present you with some of my own rhymes. I call this one, Jason .
